In this episode, Anuli talks to New York City-based singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Garth about their shared history, his musical influences, and the ins and outs of trying to make it as an independent artist. Listen to find out why this conversation has been a long-time coming!
Featured speaker: Garth.
Garth. is a New York City-based singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, with over 4 million streams on Spotify. His latest studio EP, "Our Father" is described as being "as evocative sonically as it is lyrically." With songs running the full gamut from deep soul grooves, to 80s-r&b-surf rock, Our Father gives Garth. the space to be reflective, jubilant, and mournful. After several months of touring across the U.S. last year, Garth. spent the winter months crafting his next body of work in partnership with Cale Hawkins (credits include Quincy Jones, Linda Perry, Charli XCX). After debuting some selections of this new material at Lincoln Center in April, Garth. is now preparing for the full release of his 4th studio project, Coronation later this year.
